Case study · Poultry production & distribution
Running poultry depots on one system — for over a decade
Ross Breeders Zambia · 10+ year relationship · 24/7 support agreement
The operation
Ross Breeders Zambia distributes poultry products through a network of depots — each one taking orders, invoicing customers, receiving stock, handling cash, and closing out the day. Before the system, that meant paper, spreadsheets, and depot numbers that never quite agreed with head office.
What we built
- Sales at the counter: invoicing, orders and allocations, credit notes, refunds, cash receipts and cash-out — with receipts on thermal printers.
- Stock under control: purchases, purchase orders and returns, stock takes, and transfers between depots and stores.
- Money that reconciles: financial day-end at every depot, banked against payment types, visible to head office in real time.
- Mobile depot app: an Android app for invoice entry, orders, purchases and stock — built for depot conditions.
- Connected to the books: integration with the company's accounting system, so depot activity flows into the ledgers instead of being recaptured.
- Pricing & promotions: price groups and promotions managed centrally, applied everywhere at once.
The part clients care about most
Ross Breeders holds a 24/7, 365-days-a-year support agreement. When a depot has a problem at 6am, they call the person who built the system — and it gets fixed.
