The operation
A medical practice is two businesses in one: a clinical operation (patients, visits, prescriptions) and a commercial one (billing, stock, suppliers, ZRA). Running them on separate tools — or on paper — means double capture and month-ends that never close cleanly.
What we built
- Patients & visits: registration, visit management, and prescriptions through to dispensing.
- Pharmacy stock done properly: drug inventory with stock takes, usage tracking, and a controlled-substances register.
- Billing that satisfies ZRA: invoices, quotations, and credit notes — every invoice fiscalised through ZRA Smart Invoice automatically, with corporate client billing handled.
- Procurement: suppliers and goods received, connected to stock.
- Reports management actually uses: outstanding balances, revenue by category and period, payment breakdowns.
- Access control & audit: role-based permissions and a full audit trail on every sensitive action.
The ownership model
Zambezi Medical Assistance chose to own their system outright, paying it off in monthly installments while it earns its keep — then continuing on a light support subscription. No perpetual license fees for software they depend on.

Live since March 2026, fiscalising real invoices through ZRA Smart Invoice daily.
